Audit Accounts Semi Senior Full Time

Our client is a well-established, forward-thinking company based in Hull who is now recruiting for an experienced Audit & Accounts Semi Senior. This is a full-time position within a chartered accountancy practice.

Duties will include but are not limited to:

• Accounts preparation for Limited companies
• Assisting in Audit assignments
• Ensuring compliance with external and internal requirements
• Ensuring audit files have all relevant documentation on the appropriate section
• Analysis of accounting data from client’s books and records
• Develop ongoing effective relationships with clients, ensuring the retention of business
• Ensuring all jobs are completed within specific budgets, keeping the Manager informed at all times of progress of job
• Assisting junior staff in developing their understanding of the various software packages, auditing, tax laws and statutory requirements
• Keeping abreast of developments in audit, accounting, taxation and relevant computer software

Skills and Qualifications required:

• At least ACCA/ACA part qualified with intermediate experience of working within a practice accountancy firm with a focus on audit
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to build successful relationships
• Able to self-manage and work autonomously with strong attention to detail
• Advanced computer operational skills MS office, particularly Excel (essential)
• An effective team member, proactive and motivated
• Commercially minded, a high level of flexibility and professionalism
